Honey Eucalyptus

Similar to the standard variety but with a delightful honey scented aroma edited from its gray-green evergreen leaves. Can reach up to 8-10 metres outdoors but is also easy to maintain at a manageable size indoors with occasional pruning. Produces an abundance of unique white flowers with wispy stamens that appear like petals. A very important bee plant in Australia. Although it is not the preferred medicinal variety, its oils have properties that make it a powerful antiseptic, especially in the respiratory tract, killing pathogenic bacteria and reducing mucus secretion and congestion. When plants are grown indoors oil vapours released by the leaves help to deodorize the air. Loves shade and well drained, fertile soil. Drought tolerant.
