Attractive European Wildflower with sweet almond-scented, white – pale pink flowers, so elegant and domineering, that it has been granted the alternative name “queen of the meadow”. Flowers contain salicylic acid, chemically similar to Aspirin, which is why it makes it a great anti rheumatic, anti-inflammatory and remedy to bring down fevers. Known to be one of the best digestive remedies as it soothes and protects the mucus membranes, has antacid properties and aids in digestion. Contains significant levels of astringent tannins, which tighten membranes which heal ulcers and resolve diarrhoea. Can be prepared as a tea or tincture. Thrives in moist soil in part shade.
