Common Mallow tolerates a variety of conditions, growing naturally along harbors, wastelands, uplands and grasslands. This tall and hardy plant produces radiant pink purple flowers and has been used as a food and medicine for many years. Flower and leaf infusion can be used externally to moisturize and tone the skin. The tea is also good for soothing internal mucous membranes, irritated by ulcers, inflammatory bowel conditions and coughs. Leaves and flowers are edible and can be used in salads or cooked.
