(Sour orange; Bitter orange) The oil of leaves of bitter orange produces the essential oil petitgrain, and the oil from the flowers is neroli. The bitter orange powder has quite powerful stimulant properties that pose some danger to the heart if used inappropriately. As a topical application it is used against skin infections including athletes foot and ringworm.
