Burnet Saxifrage

(Lesser burnet) A perennial herb in the carrot family, producing long stems with solitary white flower umbels in July to October. A tea made from the root and sweetened with honey was recommended for the bubonic plague! Used for stomach and intestinal inflammations, catarrh, cough and asthma. Grows best in dry alkaline soil. 15-50cm/6-20”
