Caraway Thyme

Spicy caraway aroma and flavour! A low growing, creeping, variety with long glossy dark green leaves and tiny pale purple flowers that attract pollinators. Wonderful splash of flavour to potato salads, vegetable and meat dishes. Makes a great groundcover as it can withstand foot traffic but is also a perfect choice for rock gardens. Plant in sandy, well drained soil in full sun. Thyme is typically low maintenance, but will need to be pruned to encourage a bushy growth. Sensitive to over watering, as thyme is susceptible to fungal diseases and root rot. Harvest in the morning, as concentrations of aromatic oils are highest at this time.
