Although this variety is not recommended for culinary use, its unique fuzzy, flat mat like appearance makes it a very suitable choice for a ground cover or a filler between rocks and stones, sprawling nicely over over edges. Must have adequate drainage in neutral to alkaline soil. Like all thyme varieties, it is extremely sensitive to waterlogged conditions and prone to root rot. Loves the sun! Summer will bring small pink tubular flowers.
