Polish tetraploid variety for commercial production. Has large flowers and strong erect growth habit. Has a high essential oil content, as much as 1% or more, and the oil is rich in chamazulene, a powerful inflammatory agent. Chamazulene gives the essential oil a characteristic blue colour which is why it is often called "blue" chamomile, Dry yields are as high as 1200 kg/ha (1000 lbs/acre).
