The delicate papery white flowers produce a translucent golden tea that is a traditional Asian remedy to help recover from colds, the flu or nervous exhaustion. One tablespoon of dried flowers steeped in 8 oz of hot water is relaxing, has a mild decongestant effect, and contains no caffeine. Make the tea in a clear glass teapot to show off the blossoms as they unfold in the hot water. Once the pot is drained add fresh hot water and re-use the flowers until the lovely floral aroma completely fades away.
