North American woodland plant reputed to be effective against rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, and uterine cramps. Has estrogenic, hypoglycemic, sedative, and anti-flammatory properties. Seeds require a warm period (20°C/70°F), followed by cold (5°C/40°F), for successful germination, and then again warm to develop properly.
