(Common Elderberry) Source of fruit for elderberry wine, pie and jelly, possesses extraordinary powers as a virus and bacteria fighter. Gaining a well-deserved reputation as a highly effective remedy for colds and flus. Very similar to American elder in appearance and used in the same ways. It is hardier than its American cousin, surviving in the far north, and throughout Europe and even parts of north Africa. It has been introduced successfully in many parts of the world including North America, East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
