Said to be from Xinjiang, the restive Muslim region of western China, otherwise known as Chinese Turkestan. It is a marbled purple stripe variety with excellent rich flavour and medium heat. Matures late season. Each bulb has 4-6 plump cloves. Bulbs can get up to as 70g (2.5oz) each.
