A woody plant, native to China and first described in ancient classical Chinese medicinal texts. Said to be aphrodisiac for both men and women. The extract has an androgen-like effect. Also used for kidney, liver, joint and back disorders. Diuretic effect at moderate doses; may have some ability to lower blood pressure.
