Pink Perfume Lavender
Lavandula angustifolia 'Pink Perfume'
Uses: Culinary/Medicinal/Aromatic Duration: Perennial (hardy in zones 5-8)
When to Sow: Spring/Late Summer/Early Fall Ease of Germination: Moderate
Enjoy masses of rosy pale pink flowers against a backdrop of aromatic silvery green foliage. Pollinator friendly & deer resistant!  Like any other variety, Pink Perfume Lavender must be located in full sun and planted in well drained alkaline sandy soil, ideally in a raised bed or rock garden as it is prone to root rot if conditions are too wet. Perfect for borders, rock gardens and containers. After the second year of growth, begin pruning once or twice a year, cutting back a third of its foliage. This will help maintain its shape, leaf and flower production as well as prevent woodyness. May need to be insulated with mulch or leaves over the winter. Bloom time June-July lasting 3-4 weeks. Ht 24 inches.
