Delicious and medicinal! The standard crispy curled leaves, familiar as a garnish on a dinner plate, is not only pleasing to the eye, but a delicious flavouring, all while promoting good health! Milder in flavour compared the the Italian, flatleaf variety. Cultivated for centuries and used all over the world! The properties of this herb really warrants it a place in your kitchen garden. Contains high levels of nutrients, especially vitamin C! All parts of the plant can be used medicinally, although the seeds contain the highest levels of essential oils. It is a diuretic which helps treat and prevent urinary tract infections. Also a digestive aid, easing cramping and promoting secretion of digestive enzymes. It can also be used to induce menstruation. A vigorous grower that thrives in rich, moist well drained soil in full sun- partial shade. Ht 1-2 feet.
