Seeds contain active compounds khellin and visnadin used to treat angina pectoris, muscle spasm, gastrointestinal cramp, colic, painful menstruation and bronchial asthma. Leaves have pleasant cress-like pungent flavour. White umbel flowers, grows 75 cm.
