Acrolinium
Rhodanthe chlorocephala rosea
Duration: Annual
When to Sow: Spring Ease of Germination: Easy
(Paper daisy) The papery petals of these Australian daisies appear in rich shades of chamois, pink, rose and cream. Does best in sun dappled shade in well drained sandy soils. Plant in Autumn or Spring and they will start flowering 10-12 weeks after germination. Makes a great cut flower both fresh and dry. As its alternate name “everlasting daisy” suggests, it will retain its colour well after its been cut and can be dried by hanging upside down. Looks stunning in a cottage garden, as a border plant or meadow ground cover and will attract pollinators all throughout their 4-10 week flowering season! Height 12-18 inches.
