Also known as the Lyon leek, it is an English heirloom variety from the 1800s. Prizetaker produces a solid, pure white base and tender green stalks that grow very tall and are flavourful even when quite mature. Cold hardy, it is a good keeper. Days to harvest: 70 – 130 days.
