Despite its misleading title (the subtitle would be a better title) this fascinating book covers 81 plants mentioned in the Bible and Koran. You’ll be surprised to learn that Eve did not give Adam an apple in the Garden of Eden - it was another fruit, and you’ll have to read the book to find out which! Each plant is discussed in separate chapters, starting with the original scriptural references and the likely plants that they refer to, followed by the modern uses and importance of the plants in the Middle East today. Colour photos throughout.
