Pyrethrum Soap Spray and Animals Answered by: Conrad Richter Question from: Marlena Jones Posted on: February 7, 2002
Is your Pyrethum soap spray safe to use on indoor plants with animals that on occasion chew the plants?
Pyrethrum soap spray is very safe for animals. The soap component is very similar to hand soap, and pyrethrum has been used as an insecticide safe to people and animals for centuries.
Of course, there is always a very small chance of allergic or other adverse reaction to a substance that an animal is not accustomed to, so you need to watch your animal carefully. But as insect sprays go, the pyrethrum soap spray is one of the safest on the market.
