Damiana Seed

My name is Craig Street. My family owns a wholesale bedding plant nursery on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa.

We have been investigating growing something for export. Someone suggested herbs with aphrodisiac properties for the Eastern market. I started searching the internet and one of the herbs I identified was Damiana.

The reason I’m writing to you is because I can’t seem to find anyone who supplies damiana seed. Could you perhaps put me onto someone or point me in the right direction.

Also any advice or information on growing and selling damiana would be much appreciated.

We have never seen damiana seeds on the market. It is propagated by cuttings; that’s how we produce our plants.

Damiana is not yet as well known as it could be, so it has an excellent "upside" for the future. All aphrodisiac herbs are experiencing increased demand.
