Hot Crops 2006?

Got any hot crops a guy should be planting besides comfrey?

I think Conrad’s idea of Stevia is smart and probably right on target. There is also a need for Feverfew and St. John’s Wort (if grown correctly) are always in demand. There are shortages of the primary crops right now, as the best growers dropped out of the marketplace when the industry went downward.

There is a need for more than 60,000 new farmers. Who is going to teach them when we retire or move on? The markets are recovering (finally), but most of the crops are now imported (also unfortunately). China, for example, went certified organic, BUT their products still contain heavy metals -- so there is still a preference [for North American-grown herbs].

I’m sorry I can’t give you more time at this moment. I just returned from a major trip and am playing "catch up" at the moment. What have you got I might sell?
