Wasabi Microgreens?

A local chef told me that the green served with a dish similar to a sushi was the micro green wasabi. I have been growing microgreens for some time and am skeptical. Do you have any thoughts on the possibility of growing wasabi seeds or whatever to micro green stage?

Although it is possible to grow wasabi from seeds, wasabi is normally grown from divisions or root cuttings. The seeds are rarely if ever offered for sale because they are too slow to raise compared to asexual methods of propagation.

I too am skeptical of what the chef told you.
