I keep seeing mayapple good for this and that any truth to these claims anyone buying this? Any buyers for woods grown ginseng-goldenseal-bloodroot in the NE Arkansas area? Have heard rootlets are in demand; any brokers out there for small timers 10,000 or less per year?
Mayapple is a common name for American mandrake (Podophyllum peltatum L.), and does not enjoy large markets in North America. I wrote about it in my book "Native Plants Of Commercial Importance." Be careful with this root, as it is quite toxic and is used as a drug in surgery.

Forest farmed mayapple, ginseng, goldenseal, and even bloodroot are all marketable, with COG tags. Greg Wells, of Sharp’s Pawn (Bartlesville, OK) was the only wholesale buyer I knew in the region. But, that was almost ten years ago. Also, you might consider erb Trade, out of Reno, Nevada. He only buys certified organic, however.
If you can get upward of 2,000 lbs on any of these items, I might be able to help you sell them as a broker (10% commission). I also have written extensively on marketing options, plus my various books on the subject.
