I am planning on growing 1/4 to 1/2 acre of artemisia annua plant for malaria only diseases in east Africa. Who do I connected for a cash crop for this disease.

Artemisia annua, also known as Sweet Wormwood, Sweet Annie, Sweet Sagewort or Annual Wormwood. About 20 years ago the US Army offered contracts for specific farms to grow this crop. Even back then, the total acreages was limited. To grow it on spec is very risky, and not the safest way to assure sale upon harvest. While Artemisia annua is still used for the treatment and prevention of malaria, I don’t think this market is large enough for new growers speculating on those potential markets.

Some research should be made to determine if it is not already in overabundance and production.
