I’m growing dill and savory and want to dry them for future use. Can the flowers on dill be dried or just the leafy part?

Yes, you can dry dill flowers one the seeds have formed. Pungent, aromatic dill seed is used with vegetables, in stews, breads and in pickling. Use to flavour herb oils and vinegars. Store seeds in a glass jar, in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.

I am not sure what the flavour of dill flowers is like. Of course they are used in dill pickles. Maybe you can write about the virtues of the flowers and how they can be used.

Herb flowers are edible and usually taste similar to the herb they come from. Try using them in herb butters and infused vinegars (using apple cider or white wine vinegar).
