What Herbs to Grow in Acid Soil?

My soil has a pH of around 5.5. What herbs will grow well in this soil?

Most herbs should do well. Some like lavender require more alkaline soil (pH 7-7.5), but otherwise you will find that most will perform well provided the soil drainage is good. If you have a heavy clay soil or a soil that is constantly wet, then you need to improve drainage by changing the grade or by adding sand.

Most soils will benefit from the addition of organic matter every year. Composted leaves or composted manure are always worthwhile additions.
