Goldenseal & Yarrow Seeding Rates Answered by: Inge Poot Question from: Ruth Long Posted on: June 16, 1998
How much seed per acre do I need for goldenseal and yarrow?
For goldenseal you will need about 300 grams to one kilogram of seed per acre. The seed will take at least two winters before germinating and the germination tends to be low at about thirty percent. You might be better off purchasing rootlets. You will need 30,000 to 100,000 rootlets per acre.
For yarrow you will need one kilogram of seed per acre (=2.5kg/ha).
