Tea Tree Spindly

I bought a tea tree plant last year in the spring and I wintered it indoors. Now however, it is really spindly but also woody. There is some not very great new growth. Any ideas of how to improve it? I’m not sure of how to prune it, or shouldn’t I? I want to get it back to life - please give me some ideas.

Tea trees are small trees that reach a height of five to seven meters. they like full sun and moist to wet soils. The winter indoors was probably not very sunny nor very wet! Try to summer the plant outdoors by moving it over the course of at least a month into full sun. The little trees have to be pruned lightly to get bushy. Cut off dead branches and trim overly long ones to the desired length. If roots are coming out of the bottom of the pot, move the tree to a pot three to five centimeter larger. If you want a branch or stem to branch, nip out its tip. Use your trimmings for infected wounds!
