Lemon Carpet Thyme Question Answered by: Inge Poot Question from: Diana Cornish Posted on: June 30, 1999
We are considering using lemon carpet thyme between flagstones on our patio. We have a couple of questions:
1) How high does it grow?
5 to 10 cm tall
2) Will it tolerate both sun and shade?
It should be in full sun -maybe the lightest shade is OK
3) How far apart should each plug be planted?
10 to 45 cm apart depending on how quickly you want then to fill the spaces in.
4) What is the approx delivery time to Northern California?
We start shipping to northern California in early April and stop about late October- it all depends on the weather all along the route. If you want plug trays, they have to be ordered 12 weeks ahead of shipping for this variety, since it is one of the slowest growing thymes.
