Trying to Sell 100 Tons of St. John’s Wort

I want to thank you for your help! A lot of this is new to me. As I said I have an interest in a plantation in China. We have St. John’s Wort in bloom now (August 1999) and it will produce about 100 ton per year to find a buyer for this amount is my problem.

When I started with this group it was a small plan what we planted in February of this year was only about 5 acres. They found a large field of native St. John’s Wort growing wild and now have this to harvest and sell. This I was not expecting so fast. That is why I need a buyer now. The hypericin content is 0.257% (w/w).

Your hypericin content is higher than we show right now with our cultivated crops (0.15+%). This means that I might be able to help you sell this crop for a 10% brokerage fee. Price right now is going at $3.50/lb. for 0.21+% content, presuming a COG (Certified Organically Grown certificate). Without a COG, prices are now at about $2.50/lb.

If you would like to use my services, I will need a 2-lb. sample, your chemical analysis, and any other paperwork (like a COG) to get started. This does not necessarily mean I can sell this crop right now, but I’m good at what I do.
