Eucalyptus by Cuttings? Answered by: Conrad Richter Question from: Dori Aldinger Posted on: February 17, 2000
Can Eucalyptus be propagated by cuttings? And if so what is the best way?
We never tried to strike cuttings, so we can’t say from experience. We suspect that it is possible, but you will need a mist tent to keep the relative humidity up because eucalyptus will wilt very quickly.
We find that seeds are generally very reliable and quick to germinate, unlike most trees.
