I am looking for some information on olive trees. Is there a type of olive which will grow in North Florida, USA?

Richters does not offer any olives at present (2002), but according to Deni Bown’s book (Richters’ Catalogue #B2730) "Encyclopedia of Herbs and Their Uses," Olea europea, the European olive is hardy in zones 9 to 10. North Florida is in zone 10 and even has the requisite Mediterranean climate to have the plant thrive out of doors.
