Will Lavender Plugs Flower the First Season? Answered by: Conrad Richter Question from: David Tremblay Posted on: February 25, 2002
I have a question about lavender. If I purchase a few lavender plugs from you will it flower this season?
You will get a few flowers in the first season, but lavender takes until at least the second year to produce a good show of blossoms. Of the lavender varieties we sell, ‘Lady’ is the quickest to reach flowering size and in some areas it may well produce a good show in the first season if planted early in spring.
