I would like to know, is there any way of keeping gotu kola indoors and not have to give it a constant water supply. Mine is in a 3 inch by 10 inch pot and let it sprawl out over the book shelf. If the soil becomes less than moist the leaves drop. With a two cup watering it comes back (and I can see the leaves rise up within minutes) What is the watering regime, and amount of sun. Mine receives partial sun throughout the day.

The partial sun you give it is just fine. The plant occurs in swamps in India and as a result it has adapted to constantly moist conditions. Put a saucer under the pot and water throughly (to also push out old air from the soil and let fresh air get in) once every second day in summer, or every three or four days in winter, and always keep a bit of water in the saucer.
