I just had the most amazing thing happen to me. As I pulled out my left over seeds from last year I came across a puffy package with sprouts coming out on the top (I had opened the top to see what the seeds look like and stapled shut). The bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) seeds which I negleted to plant last year germinated within the package and all but two look great ( a bit pale due to lack of light and a tangle of roots). They have been in my sunroom at the average temperature of 55 F. and nothing else but stuck between my other seed packages in a cabinet. As I am reading your cultural intsructions I’m in awe at my unintentional success rate. Thought you’d like to know.

We don’t expect bay laurel seeds to remain viable for so long, especially when stored in a sealed packet, so it is a pleasant surprise to hear that they did so well for you. Thanks for letting us know!
