Is there a good way to dry rosemary and lavender to use to lay in a dish in your home so it smells nice? Please let me know the best way to do this.

Harvest lavender flowers for strongest scent. The rosemary is not going to work as well for potpourri, since it has a thick cuticle that does not release oils easily.

Put the cut sprigs/flowers onto an old window screen and set it on bricks under a tree to dry. Be sure to choose a warm dry day. Avoid excessive heat as this will make the fragrant oils evaporate. In the evening bring it in before any dew forms. You might want to finish off the drying in a slightly warm oven.
