Culantro: Can It Be Divided?

I was just wondering if Culantro (Mexican Coriander) can be propagated by division? I bought a small plant from Richters a month or so ago and it seems to be growing well. I have been nipping out the seed stalks to encourage more leaf growth. It seems to be spreading outwards as it grows. Can I divide this plant or not? I am not sure of the root structure and so on. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

The usual method of propagation is by seed. But yes it can be divided successfully. It doesn’t produce stolons like the mints do, but does develop a clump that can be split into two or three. Typically this method is impractical for large scale propagation but there is no reason why it can’t be done to increase plants at home or in the garden.
