Thyme and Parsley Culture and Use

I bought a thyme and a flat-leaved parsley plant. I would like to know how to take care of them, so I could use them in my cooking.

Presumably you are growing the plants in the house, since when we received the question, we still had freezing weather out of doors. Plant in a 15 cm (6 inch) pot or larger using well-draining soil and put in your sunniest window. Keep moist but not soggy wet.

To harvest the thyme cut off whatever you need, but never cut the plant lower than about 10cm (4 inches). For the parsley, always harvest the outside leaves and make sure you leave about 4 healthy strong leaves in the centre.
