I had a problem with having too much vaginal discharge to the point where it is slippery wet (leucorrhea) when excited in sexual activity. Although my doctor says it’s normal because my hormones changed after having my last child. I really still feel real uncomfortable about it. Is their some kind of herbal method I can use to lessen the amount of discharge?

Leucorrhea is a white or yellow vaginal discharge due to inflammation of the mucus membrane. It is usually due to infection of the womb, caused by the protozoan Trichomonas vaginalis or by sexually transmitted disease. If your doctor assures you that this is a normal discharge, then he must have ruled out these causes. I suggest that you check with your doctor.

Assuming that this is not an inflammation (in which case you would use additional herbs), you can reduce the discharge with a vaginal douche made from astringent herbs red raspberry leaves or plantain (Plantago lanceolata or Plantago major). Place 5 tablespoons of the dried herbs in a glass or ceramic container, and pour a liter of boiling water over the herbs Allow to steep, covered, for 30 minutes, and then strain. Use as a douche when the tea has cooled to room temperature. Perform the douche once daily for a week.
