Kindly give me some direction as to how I can give my 10 year old son who is very squeamish flax seed and cod liver oils. I used to give him spoonfuls with warm tea but he won’t take them anymore. He’s asthmatic and has gluten allergies. I’ve heard that these oils would keep his immune system strong.

I have had fairly high compliance when mixing flax seed and cod liver oils with coconut oil. This makes a tasty spread that can be used much like butter. However, once blended, it can not be heated rather it must be added to food after cooking such as to rice or potatoes, added to fruit shakes or can be used as a spread on toast or crackers. To make take 1 part coconut oil and gently melt on a stove and remove immediately after from heat. Add 1 part flax oil and pour into glass jars. To every three tablespoons of above blend, one 20 min. capsule of cod liver oil can be added along with the flax seed oil. This can then be kept in the freezer is multiple jars are mixed up or stored in the refrigerator once jar is opened and being used. A standard dose would then be 1 tablespoon of the spread three times per day.
