Gram-negative Folliculitis

I have been suffering from what is diagonsed to be gram-negative folliculitis. I get spots on my scalp, more on the back (and directly on top of my scalp) not so much on the front of the scalp. I have taken LOADS of medication, like erythromicin, and fluxocillin, and clarythromyclin, and finally accutane. The problem keeps coming back after clearing.

I have tried ingesting tumeric powder, one teaspoon a day with warm water 3 times a day. I am in the 4th day of doing this but I do not see any results at present, there are still inflamed regions on my scalp. I was wondering what you would recommend me to do in clearing the infection. I am very curious because there are three areas on my scalp that seem to become really bumpy, I think they are lymphatic nodes? I also used to have the problem in my armpits and groin but that seems to have cleared for the past month or so. I have bought RED CLOVER tablets 430mg from ebay and I hope this will do the trick. What can i do to ensure that the folliculitis will clear? I am really scared because I can’t get a haircut, I dont feel like shaving and I am losing my self esteem badly... and I am also going on holiday to Miami in June and I really want my scalp to be clear!!

I think you are on the right track with the red clover in that it is a lymphatic. However, I think you need some stronger ones such as echinacea, poke root and/or wild indigo.

As well as taking stronger lymphatics internally, you can also be doing topical treatment. Herbs such as goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis), Berberis vulgaris or B. aquifolium, garlic and thyme (Thymus vulgaris) are all effective against gram-negative bacteria so a wash can be made out of any of them or a combination of them. To do this take 1 tsp of herbs and infuse in 1 cup of boiling water. Let steep 20 minutes, strain and apply the wash on the scalp, allow to dry without rinsing off. Repeat twice daily.

One other suggestion, you can apply plain yogurt that is high in good bacteria to the scalp and allow it to stay on for 30 minutes before rinsing off with plain water. Repeat daily.
