1) Typical height and growth pattern of the following:

2) The zone for all of the classic roses as available in your 1997 catalogue. Will they survive over the winter in Ottawa?
3) If I place an order for seeds, plants and roses today, when can I expect to receive them?
Heights and growth patterns:
Chastetree:
- woody shrub or tree
- hardiness zone 7-10
- both height and spread 5 metres (15 feet).
Ginger:
- herbaceous perennial
- hardiness zone 9-11
- height 1.5 metres (5 feet), indefinite spread
Ginkgo:
- tree
- hardiness zone 3-9
- height 40 metres (140 feet), spread 20 metres (70 feet)
Asiatic ginseng:
- herbaceous perennial
- hardiness zone 4-8
- height 70-90 centimetres (28-36 inches), spread 75 cm (30 inches)
Night jasmine:
- herbaceous perennial, evergreen

On the hardiness of classic roses, we have many customers reporting success growing our roses in the Ottawa area. The classic roses are hardier than hybrid tea roses, so even if you have not had success with regular roses you may fare better with the classic roses.
Seeds are shipped year round. There are a few seeds that are perishable and can only be shipped fresh from harvest, but otherwise most varieties are available year round.
Our potted plant shipping season runs from late April to October. The exact shipping time depends on your location. We ship to warmer areas first and work our way northward. For example, to Ottawa we ship mid to late May to coincide with the outdoor planting time in your area.
Roses are shipped bare-rooted in late October or early November.
