I just received your catalog today and I was wondering if your merchandise comes with a guarantee of any kind.

We guarantee that plants and seeds will arrive safely. We do not provide an explicit guarantee that plants or seeds will thrive because so many factors beyond our control are involved. However, we have a very liberal replacement policy which in most cases leads to full or partial replacement, even when it is clear that the customer has not provided the right care.

We do not believe in "unconditional money back guarantees" because that would limit us to offering only the easiest to grow herbs. There many valuable and interesting herbs that are real challenges to grow that present a real risk of failure if the right conditions are not provided. Even experienced growers require two or three attempts to germinate or grow these challenges. Nature does not always make herbs as easy to grow as peas or corn!
