We cannot confirm any connection to the island of Corsica, but we like its look anyway. It is similar to our purple and green ’Emerald Wine’ variety introduced in 2013 with the added advantage that it can be raised from seed. The aroma and flavour are maybe a bit too mild for purists, but for folks unafraid to try something different we think Corsican is worth a look. We love it in Elizabeth Hodges´ recipe, Pad Thai with Walnuts and Corsican Basil. Ht. 75-90cm/30-36".
