An absolute must for those who love lemon scented aromatic herbs! Will produce an abundance of zesty leaves all summer long if planted in full sun and well drained soil. So fragrant, you wont be able to resist brushing the leaves every time you walk past it, surpassing both lemon balm and lemongrass in intensity! This South American native produces sprays of purple or white flowers in early spring or early summer. Leaves can be used in soups, sauces, fish or chicken dishes, as a flavouring to oil, vinegar and desserts. Can be dried to brew an uplifting tea. Try freezing in ice cubes to use in summer drinks! The oils have antimicrobial, anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties and have been shown to have a calming effect on both the body and the mind. Height 2-3 metres.
