It looks as if smaller squashes are trying to squeeze out from inside of bigger ones. With some imagination these distinctive squashes can be said to look like the turbans worn in parts of Asia. The squashes come in a riot of colours -- yellow, orange, red, white and green -- and they get to be as much as 20-30cm (8-12") across and can weigh as much as 2kg (5lb). They are edible, and will keep if not bruised, but are mostly grown for decoration. 80-125 days.
