Very productive artichoke garlic with bulbs often reaching 7.5cm/3” across. Outer skins have vivid purple blotches while the inner skins are clean white. Beige-white cloves arranged in several layers around the stem. Rich hot flavour, and stores well. Excellent for braiding. Not fussy about soil type -- sandy, silty, clay -- as long it gets full sun and average water. Rarely bolts, even in zones 4-5. Heirloom from the Kettle River, Washington area for over 100 years. 8-13 cloves per bulb,
