| Purple Glazer Garlic |
| Allium sativum ophioscordon 'Purple Glazer'|
| Uses: Culinary/Medicinal
|| Duration: Perennial (hardy in zones 3-8) |
| When to Sow: Late Summer/Early Fall
This is one beautiful garlic, with brilliant shiny purple and silver wrappers. The flavour is strong, but not hot, and has no aftertaste. Kitchen tests prove that this variety is one of the best for baking, with a fine texture not unlike cooked carrots. Cloves are easy to peel. Originally from the Republic of Georgia.
