(Pipicha; Chepiche) Mexican herb like cilantro but ten times so. Has overtones of pine, citrus, mint and anise, all wrapped up in a complex nexus of aromas and flavours. Its net effect on the palate is hearty, down-to-earth, and so good! Try it in stuffings, stews, salads, salsas, or on poultry, fish, devilled eggs, or even in tabouleh, bulgar, and potato salad. Also fights bacterial infections and inflammatory diseases and helps detox the liver. Easy to grow, just sow the seeds where the plants are to grow. Unlike its distant cousin cilantro it does not bolt in hot weather, so it produces gorgeous fresh foliage all summer long. Prefers full sun.Ht. 30-60cm/1-2ft.
